About

Vistiqa is a medtech company that uses Voice CFD as a modern way to design tiny changes inside the larynx that can improve voice quality.

Voice CFD (computational fluid dynamics of voice production) uses high-fidelity 3D numerical simulations to study how airflow through the larynx interacts with the vocal folds and generates sound. It visualizes laryngeal airflow, vocal-fold motion, and the resulting acoustics in detail.

Our goal is a fast, cost-effective and clinically validated pipeline: 1. larynx scan → 2. laryngeal simulation → 3. design proposal for a patient-specific vocal-fold implant.

Simulation workflow for modeling human phonation.

Simulations

We use high-fidelity 3D simulations to model how airflow, vocal-fold motion, and sound interact in the larynx and upper airways, and how these interactions determine voice quality.

Key topics

  • Vocal-fold oscillation (soft voice, breathy voice, etc.)
  • Glottal jet and laryngeal turbulence
  • Flow-induced sound

Core expertise

  • Large-eddy simulation (LES)
  • Computational aeroacoustics (CAA)
  • Fluid-structure-acoustic interaction (FSAI)
  • Surrogate modeling
  • Uncertainty quantification (UQ)
